Project Overview

In 2000 O’Hara’s Irish Stout won two gold medals at the International Brewing Awards, a high profile
industry competition, and this success attracted a lot of international attention. By 2006 it was
becoming apparent that demand was outstripping supply and a decision was needed about the
future development of the company. It was decided that a new building was required with a bigger
brewhouse and more tank capacity. In 2009, Carlow Brewing Company contacted MGT and after
initial discussions, the decision was taken to order 2 x 150Hl Fermentation Vessels and 2 x 130Hl
Conditioning Tanks. Between 2011 and November 2012 MGT supplied Carlow Brewing Company with
a further 8 x 150Hl Fermentation Vessels to cope with their increased production as a result of their
success.
