Project Overview

Sigma-Aldrich is a leading Life Science and High Technology company who contracted MGT to produce 2 fermentation tanks with process controls including separate heating & cooling circuits. Sigma-Aldrich chemical and biochemical products are used in scientific research, including genomic and proteomic research, biotechnology, pharmaceutical development.

Scope of Project:

• Design and fabrication of the 2 pressure rated mixing systems of 1000 Liter
• Design and fabrication of agitators for mixing tanks (Pitch Blade Agitators)
• Design code ASME Section VIII, Division 1
• FAT Testing of all tanks and agitators at MGT Facility prior to shipping
